At the start of every topic, we will focus on building up foundation, teaching you the critical concept and skills in an easy way for you to understand. You will then learn how to apply these concepts and skills into examination-type questions, training you to get used to them.
Learn to identify cues and the right formulas or concepts to tackle Secondary 3 questions
After building up the foundation, we will then expose you to every common question type that examination setters love and teach you how to pick out the right cues from the question so that you can identify the right concept and formula to apply and solve Sec 3 Math questions faster than others. Do you cover A'Math or E'Math? Both A'Math and E'Math content will be covered in class but majority of the time will be spent covering A'Math topics. We will revise E'Math topics during major revision period. However throughout the year, students may consult us after class for any concepts that they are unable to understand.

How is a typical tuition session like?A session typically starts with reviewing the homework allocated the past week. All students are expected to attempt the homework to ensure effective learning when the questions are gone through in class. The tutor will then conduct a lecture to cover new concepts and formulas. The content of each session has been broken down into smaller sub-topics and every sub-topic covered will be followed by a tutorial session for students to apply what they have just learnt. This content-application-feedback loop weekly will help students master the topics effectively.

How can I catch up with my Secondary 3 content? The way to master Math is to keep practicing. For Secondary 4 students with a weak Sec 3 foundation, we strongly encourage you to do extra practice at home to build up those concepts. You can consult Ms Suzanne for a study plan based on her assessment of your weaknesses and she may also allocate relevant worksheets from those Sec 3 for you to practice. But above all, the most important aspect is to ask questions! Asking questions help to clarify your doubts and from there, you could discover more misconceptions that you have. We will be here giving you the full support you need. Students can consult Ms Suzanne anytime, simply snap and send a photo of the questions to her. From our many years in teaching, students have found this to be extremely useful, sometimes you may even catch Ms Suzanne at 11 p.m. doing a WhatsApp consultation with students!
